How to restore account access with 2FA backup key
How to restore account access with 2FA backup key
Updated over a week ago

During the setup of 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your account, you will be asked to save a Backup Key or Authentication Key. This key serves as a means to regain access to your account in case of a lost or misplaced phone, or accidental removal of the Google Authenticator app. Therefore, it is essential to keep the key secure, as it can save you time and allow you to regain access without requiring support assistance.

How it works:

If you have your backup key saved, follow these steps to recover access:

  1. Launch the Google Authenticator app on your device

  2. Tap the "+" sign on the lower right corner

  3. Select "Enter a setup key"

  4. Enter your Finblox 2FA backup key and choose "Time based"

  5. Finally, tap "Add" and you're all done! Use the 2FA code to sign in to your Finblox account.
